The vegan project

Will you join?

My name is Peter Voorhuis, and I’m a Dutch photographer. I’ve started a project that’s very close to my heart, and probably yours as well. For this project, I’m taking iconic portraits of well-known vegans and interviewing them about their motivations and experiences. All these inspiring stories will be collected in a book that will be widely available to readers worldwide through a large volume of printed versions and will be exhibited in many exhibitions around the world. Encouraging people to think about animal welfare and to make the switch to a vegan lifestyle.

All profits from the book will be used to improve animal rights and promote a vegan lifestyle.

As a famous vegan, you’re a role model for many. People look up to you and are interested in your story. Your participation would bring authenticity and a unique message that only you can share. One that could deeply inspire others. It would significantly impact the success of the project and help reach a wider audience. If we can inspire others to embrace a vegan lifestyle, we truly can make a meaningful impact!

So here’s a bold question for you: Would you be willing to participate in this project? Would you allow me to photograph and interview you about your journey and what you find important to share regarding veganism?  I travel to wherever you are and won’t take up much of your time. Before I publish anything, I’ll send you the photos and interview for approval. I hope you’ll consider my request to help me and the animals.

Interview with Moby

Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with Moby, a legendary musician, producer, and passionate animal rights activist. He’s been a committed vegan since 1987. With an impressive career and millions of records sold worldwide, Moby has a broad platform. One he uses not only to share his music, but also to speak out for the voiceless. He’s known for integrating his ethical beliefs into everything he does. From his creative work to his tireless activism. In our conversation, he opened up about the personal journey that led him to veganism, why this cause remains so important. It’s bigger than his own life.

Interview with Alexis Gauthier

Only a few chefs have challenged the fine-dining world quite like Alexis Gauthier. He became a multi-award-winning chef and successful restaurateur. Even more impressive was his courageous decision in 2021: to remove all animal products from his menu, and transformed Gauthier Soho into a vegan restaurant. Today, he owns three restaurants, fully vegan of course. You may also recognize him from the BBC TV show MasterChef, where he became the first vegan judge on the show. I spoke with him about his decision to turn his restaurant fully vegan, and the personal story behind it

I’m considering my participation
